Effects of 6-benzylamino purine (BAP) on the feathering of ´Fuji´ on M.9 T337 was studied for 2 years; in the 1st year BAP 200 ppm was sprayed 4 or 5 times, 400 ppm was 2, 4 or 5 times, 800 ppm was 2, 4 or 5 times and 1,000 ppm was 2 or 4 times. in the 2nd year 200 ppm, 400 ppm, 600 ppm and 800 ppm were sprayed 4 or 6 times, and 1,000 ppm was 2 or 4 times. Regardless of concentration and application times BAP had significant stimulative effect on side shoot formation with Fuji. In the 1st year 400 ppm and 800 ppm, in the 2nd year 600 ppm and 800 ppm were most effective for feathering. The oftener sprayed BAP, the more side shoots were formed. We concluded that with sprays of BAP 600∼800 ppm 5 or 6 times in late May to June, it is possible to produce ideal maiden trees of ´Fuji´ on M.9 T337 for the high density system.
